National Education Policy may be a boon because it may be a changing face of an education system positively. New Policy on education states that “education may be a key to success and this success are often achieved by the right implementation of the policy”.

Introduction

Education may be a basic fundamental for achieving success and every one human potential, the formation of a just society, and maximising national development. After Independence government made many changes within the education system and for these many policies were made and from this one is National Education Policy, 2020 which is formed within the 21st century.

Quality innovation, education and research in every field are going to be the poles or bases on which India will become a ‘Global Knowledge Super Power’. So, for this achievement, a replacement policy on education is required. After the 34 years, On 29 July 2020, Wednesday, after 34 years National Education Policy has been approved by the Union Cabinet. The NEP 2020 was announced by the Ministry of Education for the aim that it'll provide quality education to our nation. The National Education Policy of 1986 is replaced by this NEP 2020. The most motives and aim of this policy are to supply quality education and maximum development of learners. All the main critical points are addressed during this Policy which is named as New National Education Policy, 2020.

There are various things that this policy achieves which is promised to the state including providing of digital and technological education tools for differently-abled students, equitable and inclusive education online and digital education: ensuring equitable use of technology, re-imagining vocational training, renovation in fact structure, etc. the main target of this policy is on education so it'll bring long-overdue positive changes in society. As this policy was approved, every institution will adopt all the provisions and new policies which were provided by the central government for the welfare of the scholar.

Important changes made within the new National Education Policy 2020 are:

1. M. Phil would be discontinued.

2. Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD) is now renamed as Ministry of Education (MoE).

3. specialise in the gross enrolment ratio which will be increased to 50% by 2035.

4. the govt recommended increasing the GDP investment in education from 1.6% to 6%.

National Education Policy: As a Boon

Education is that the most vital thing in human life. We all are that specialize in the policies and rules associated with education. So, every education policy was made to form a positive change in society by education and make a rustic superpower in education. NEP 2020 is coming as a blessing after 34 years. This policy changes the education pattern with a replacement pedagogical and curricular restructuring of 5+3+3+4 covering ages 3-18 and earlier educational structure is within the sort of 10+2. Before this policy class 1 begins from age 6 and students with age 1-5 doesn't cover in 10+2 structure. Now new policy provides the education from class 3rd under infancy Care and Education (ECCE) within the new structure of 5+3+3+4. infancy Care and Education (ECCE) is aimed toward early and quick development of child’s brain and promoting better overall learning because over 85% development of a child’s cumulative brain occurs before age of 6.

ECCE includes play-based study, use of alphabets, contains alphabets, numbers, languages, colour, shapes, simple drawings and paintings, very easy to medium puzzles and quizzes, supported problem-solving, music, teamwork, cooperation and other interesting things for youngsters. A (NCPFECCE) National Curricular and Pedagogical Framework for infancy Care and Education are going to be developed by NCERT for youngsters up to the age of 8 in two parts named as a sub-framework for 0-3-year-old, and a sub-framework for 3-8-year-olds. or universal approach to ECCE, Anganwadi Centres for a little child are going to be build up with the high-quality and powerful infrastructure, play equipment and with the appointment of well-educated and trained Anganwadi workers/teachers.

As we all know that, earlier system of education has three streams named as Commerce, Science, and humanities and students need to study just one out of three. They can’t study all three streams but new policy provides that now students can study Physics- Chemistry with politics alongside History. The new policy provides a multidisciplinary approach for college kids.

The maternal language is now compulsory until 5th grade as a medium of instruction. it's an honest decision that nobody is left without knowing the maternal language. The new policy provides that students need to do an internship right from class 6th in vocational education jobs. This policy emphasises on vocational training. it's for the betterment of these students those that want to run a business or wants a vocational job.

Now we are giving more importance to 10th and 12th board class but importance of those board class would be reduced thanks to new policy and now all classes are important and coding would be taught to all or any students from class 6th. Another interesting thing is that students also will self-evaluate themselves and therefore the assessment and evaluation of scholars isn't only done by teachers but also done by students alongside teachers. Not only self-evaluation are going to be done but remainder of the category students also will evaluate and compare the whole report and tell that how the scholar had performed so, basically, it's valuable for college kids also as for teachers.

In the earlier, government spend less on education and spend less for the welfare of scholars but new policy provides that there'll be 60% of GDP would be utilized in education.

With the new policy M. Phil courses to be abandoned and these courses to be proclaimed as nullified. NEP 2020 focused on the promotion of Multidisciplinary Education and there's an institution of Multidisciplinary Education and Research Universities (MERUs). NEP 2020 made education commission of India as one body for entire education and there'll be equity publicly and personal education standards. Legal and Medical education won't come under the ambit of HECI.

If within the mid of any undergraduate or postgraduate programs anyone feels that he or she wants to discontinue this course then he will happily drop that program in midway and people subjects he or she studied they're going to get the advantage of those subjects. It can provide interesting programs for college kids.

By 2030 a 4-year integrated BA degree would be the minimum qualification to become an educator and by 2022 a standard National Professional Standard are going to be made for all teachers.

India can find out its institution outside India and top most 100 colleges are permitted to line up their institutions legally in India. So, by this, we will learn from foreigners and that we also will be taught foreigners. it'll make a robust bond between India and other nations.

National Education Policy: As a Bane

The government made policies for the advantage of a rustic with positive things and do all efforts that this policy is with only advantaged not with any disadvantage but every policy has disadvantages alongside advantages. But it's right that there are more advantages and fewer disadvantages. As within the new National Education Policy of 2020, there are some disadvantages but these are but advantages.

The first disadvantage is that this policy focused on vocational and polytechnic education for the varsity students and made compulsory that students need to do internships right from class 6th in vocational education jobs and vocational subjects are going to be introduced as early as 6th grade. This ignores the worth and importance of mainstream education to all or any students until a minimum of class 10th. Students who are of lower caste and belong to economically backward region who struggle in coding, in English, etc. can register themselves for choosing these streams. These internship and vocational subjects will provide a load to students and this process is so early. The priority of any student is to realize basic knowledge then get an education step by step from easy to a high level.

Multiple entries and exit options cause a rise in dropout rates in universities. If a student decided to drop call at midway of a course then it'll create problems for college kids and teachers. nobody can pre-plan their future and cannot be ready to decide that what he or she has got to neutralize future.

The one main reason behind the criticising of this policy is by the people on the purpose of language. This policy states that preferably till grade 8th or till grade 5th and if needed beyond, it’ll be within the regional language and it is criticized because if a student therein age during which over 85% of a child’s cumulative brain development happened at an early age. If he or she learns the local or regional language at an early age then how he or she is going to learn English or third language so perfectly because the local or regional language learned by them.

Nowhere to review regional or local language is compulsory, but those that criticize it says that now of language under this policy will force schools to not study or teach English or third language, and this is often not beneficial for the scholars and also for the state.

By calling this policy anti-democratic, some political parties and people criticized it. Since education may be a matter of centre and state both, but being so this is often alleged that states weren't consulted before making and implementation of this policy. So, states should be informed or consulted before making this policy.

Our current education system has No Detention Policy (NDP) till Class 8 and therefore the dropout percentage goes to extend thanks to conduction of exams by singular body or authority.

It is inappropriate that one body conduct the exams of an entire country because it'll make the exam an equivalent for the entire country but the study is different during a different state. If exams are going to be conducted by the state then it's better for college kids. If one body or authority is deciding the entire nation’s syllabus then they're going to easily re-write or change history and advertise their agendas and pollute the young minds of the generation which can be the longer term of any nation.

In the case of Mohini Jain v. Karnataka notification issued by the Karnataka government is challenged by a resident of Uttar Pradesh state. This notification permitted the private medical colleges to gather higher fees from those students who weren't awarded ‘government seats.’ during this case Supreme Court of India if a personal college charges “capitation fee” then it violates the proper to education.

Conclusion:

NEP 2020 may be a new education policy and it's made after 34 years of old policy on education so, the govt wants and tries that it'll bring positive change in society through education. All the scholars of our country should be educated and this policy is formed to supply easy and valuable education to students. The NEP may be a path or thanks to make reforms and transformation in every schools and colleges sector in our nation.

The purpose of this policy is looking perfect in some ways but its success is decided by how it's implemented. This policy is all about reducing the present defects of education system achieving the goal that's set by NEP. NEP will provide a more scientific and systematic approach to Indian education if a real vision of it's implemented. The new policies and structure of education can bring India at the highest of the planet in education if these were implemented or accepted systematically.
